NEW BOOK RELEASE announced for September 2023 (postponed to December 2023, se below):
Miguel Enríquez was the leader of the resistance against the military coup. He was assassinated by Pinochet military minions, after resisting heroically during an unequal combat. Miguel, Bautista van Schouwen, Andrés Pascal Allende, and a handful others including the author, were together in the revolutionary fraction MSR which did brake from the Chilean Socialist party in 1964 –to later establish the Movement of the Revolutionary Left (MIR) in 1965.
When exactly a half century has passed since Pinochet´s bloody coup d’état of September 11, 1973, Libertarian Books Europe presents a few pages of the personal diary of Miguel Enríquez. Other pages of his diary will soon arrive to the author, thanks to material promised by Carmen Castillo (currently in possession of the original manuscripts). To the book´s text follows an unique graphic collection about Miguel Enríquez and his closest comrades.

In 1972, during the government of Salvador Allende, the “First National Congress of Scientists” organized by CONICYT took place in Santiago de Chile. Prof. Marcello Ferrada de Noli’s work “Elementos Para Una Política de Investigación en las Ciencias Sociales” [Elements For a National Policy on Research in Social Sciences] was approved at the referred Congress as resolution in the Theme “Social Sciences and Development”. Ferrada de Noli was at the time professor at the University of Concepción. CONICYT = National Committee for Scientific and Technological Research”.
